 | | Lichtsnelheid | | Belgium | | 99 Obed | I have formerly contested in XC races. Now however, I have become more of a "long haul" man, specializing in 100k+ rides, also called XC marathons over here. Riding a titanium bike has totally changed my ability to complete these what I consider the "epic" rides. This bike allows for much longer rides before fatigue sets in, due to the magic of its frame material and the skilled craftmanship of the Litespeed designers and welders . I would not ever consider buying any other bike than a titanium one. I admit to owning an aluminum and a carbon bike as well, but the Obed is ridden more and more frequently, leaving the others to become almost obsolete. I even use it to do my road training. You may find the full specs of my Obed and some of my other bikes on the website mentioned below . Currently I have set my eyes on the Litespeed Unicoi model, which , due to it's suspended rear, offers even more compliancy and comfort for the long rides I love so dearly. Next to riding the bikes I also love taking pictures of mountainbikers during the World Cup XC races I manage to attend over here in Europe. I am a member of a big mountainbike club over here in Belgium, they are called the "Blancs Gilets" and consist of about 60-70 mountainbike racers of all ages and gender .We have a special teaching program for the youngsters, including lessons on riding technique, skills and mechanics.
